Every year I look forward to November and The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I read my students they book, “Balloons Over Broadway” and we research everything about the parade. The culminating project at the end is for my students to design their own balloons and you guessed it, we have our own parade!
There is a positive correlation between the teachers enthusiasm about the subject matter and student engagement.
