This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As of right now, I only have four functional balances for labs, and I'm supplementing them with food scales, which are not as precise. With budget cuts, it's been hard to order supplies in general, and I have become limited in the labs I can have my students perform in my chemistry class.

Getting the requested balances would improve the ease in which I can have students conduct lab experiments in small groups to improve their learning experience.

My students love performing labs and ask for more after each one. I would love to be able to give them this experience; they deserve to have an education in which they are engaged in meaningful ways.
