Our kindergarten students are a resilient group of kiddos that have adjusted from growing up in a country during a pandemic to being students who now love coming to school to learn with their friends and teachers. In our classroom, we are learning the foundations to be strong readers, covering various reading standards at the highly proficient levels, writing, math, social studies, and science. Some of our students are also learning Mandarin in school and sign language after school.
Currently, students are using the same chairs in different sizes at our reading group and I would love to provide them with the opportunity to have these chairs for additional movement while making coming back to the reading groups even more exciting. Additional benefits of these chairs are coordination, core strength, and the ability to burn additional energy that is healthy for these children. At the kindergarten level, the length of these chairs fits all students because they are adjustable without tools.
When not being used at reading groups, these chairs can also be used at desks for students of the week or alternative seating for those students that need it.
