Bags for Books

My students need 30 seat sacks, an organizational tool for their books and supplies.

My Students

My students love to read and often have five or more books at their desks. The at-your-seat sacks are a perfect way to keep their books safe and organized.

My second graders are curious learners who attend an urban IB school.

They are inquirers who set their own goals and challenge themselves in every academic area. They appreciate every opportunity they have to learn something new. Our school has a very diverse population of students. Some students receive free or reduced lunch, and some are second language learners.

My Project

Right now my students have reusable grocery bags hanging off the back of their chairs. Books fall out of them, and sometimes my students trip over them. With an "at-your-seat bag", each of my students will be able to have a place to store their independent reading books, reading notebooks, and other supplies. My students will be able to find their books quickly during independent reading time. The excellent quality of these bags will allow me to use them for future students. They will also make our clean-up time at the end of the day a lot faster.

Donations to this project will help improve my classroom by giving my students an organizational tool to help them with their self and time management skills.

With these bags, our classroom will be a more appealing place for anyone to walk into.
