My Students
A typical day in my classroom is loud, energetic, and fast-paced. I teach two high school band courses, music appreciation, yearbook, and co-teach middle school band. My students work extremely hard to come together and develop their musical skills, both as soloists and as part of an ensemble.
My school is a rural Title I school in Oklahoma.
I am currently living my dream of teaching band at my alma mater. The band is known for a long-standing tradition of excellence, and I intend to continue that tradition for many years to come.
My Project
We are fortunate enough to have a brand new set of marching uniforms that will outfit our band for years to come. In order to ensure they last as long as possible, we need to be able to protect them while they are in storage, and especially while we are traveling. We cannot always take our full garment racks with us, so we need individual garment bags for each uniform.
We are gearing up for a trip to perform at the Alamo Bowl in December.
We will be taking our uniforms with us, and these garment bags will ensure that each student has a protective cover for their uniform and uniform accessories.
