Badminton for My Babies

Help me give my students a badminton set for use at P.E. to strengthen their gross motor skills, to promote teamwork and to encourage good sportsmanship.

My Project

My students love P.E. time; unfortunately, our small school has limited resources. By having access to badminton, they will be exposed to a different type of sport that will help them to feel successful and accepted as a team member. In addition, I am blessed to have students with special needs and limitations. I feel that the game of badminton with the lollipop paddles will be quite beneficial.

Louis Academy is a small institution nestled in the country on the mighty Mississippi River. There is a gymnasium, but it also serves as our place for programs and other small community gatherings. We have two basketball goals and a few balls. If we had badminton sets with the accompanying equipment, my students would be thrilled, curious, and motivated. We have never had any type of nets or other games of this type for my students. I know that they would be truly appreciative!
