This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At BCP school, our diverse high school students have limited exposure to outdoor recreational activities. We aim to introduce engaging backyard games that are uncommon in our urban setting, broadening their horizons and fostering a love for varied physical activities.

We're requesting equipment for Cornhole, Spikeball, and KanJam.

These games will:

Expose students to new, accessible forms of outdoor recreation,

Improve various physical skills and strategic thinking

Increase participation and inclusivity in PE

Teach transferable skills for parks, beaches, and social gatherings

Our students are eager to try new things despite their limited exposure. This project will allow them to experience broader physical pursuits, build confidence, and create positive associations with outdoor activities.

By supporting our project, you're helping bridge the gap between urban living and outdoor recreation. You'll be instrumental in opening new doors for our students and inspiring active, healthy lifestyles beyond our school and city environment.
