My Project
Backpacks are such an important and essential item for students to have. Backpacks are a reflection of the students as they can symbolize a child’s personality, likes, and beliefs. Ask a child to choose a backpack and that child will think carefully -- and for a long time -- about the kind of backpack she would like to have. Some of my students have backpacks; but oftentimes, these backpacks are hand-me-downs from older siblings, cousins, and friends. The wear and tear are visible and obvious.
I hope that through this project, each child will receive a much-needed, brand-new backpack that will instill a sense of pride and confidence.
Backpacks are essential to student success because the backpacks will help them learn organizational skills and responsibility. As a result of having new backpacks, the students will become more excited and enthusiastic about attending school every day. This project will set the foundations that will help my students become successful learners!
