This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal is to provide as many families with new school backpacks for students so families do not have to endure the extra costs. The neighborhood where my school is located is urban and contains high crime and drug activity. Many families struggle financially but are committed to their children's learning and education.
Providing new backpacks would lessen the financial burden on families who cannot afford to buy new backpacks every school year.
Our students are amazing and work very hard. They deserve to start the school year off with new backpacks to get them focused and ready to learn.
