My Project
Our school has seen a huge increase in newcomer students to our building. We have students from all over the world and over 60 languages are spoken in our building. Often, when students come from other countries, they are fleeing situations in which they were unsafe and living in poverty. When they come into our school, they usually do not have any school supplies, nor a backpack in which to carry them. This project will help ensure that we have free backpacks to give to students who need them. Last year we gave out well over 200 backpacks and our supply is running low!
