Backpacks and Handsoaps for a Healthy School Year!

Help me give my students four elementary backpack kits and two cases of Dial handsoaps.

My Students

As the school counselor, my main responsibility is to address the needs of the "whole child" and treat every student holistically. My students come with varying needs, and over 95% belong to impoverished homes. Their diverse cultures, needs, and experiences mean that one size does not fit all.

At my school, I wear many hats and I facilitate a vast diversity of students' and teachers' needs alike.

Currently, the capacity of my school's budget has been limited, and non-core subjects materials are paid for out-of-pocket. I take an active role in my students' lives and also facilitate our teachers' needs. I teach and visit classrooms daily and give presentations that build character and educate the students about hygiene, core values, and social behavior.

Because of failing grades last year, we are embarking on a school-wide cross-curricular project and a "Baking Club" where students will learn how to eat, cook, and bake healthily through sciences, math, and the arts! I have been trying to get the baking accessories needed for our students to experiment and keep their cold creations from melting/spoiling. We need a freezer on wheels that is portable to preserve their creations until the end of the school day.

My Project

I am requesting your assistance in helping students in my class with the Dial products such as hand soaps, as well as the other items. The backpacks sets are packed full with an array of school supplies that will be used for/given to students in need.

In today's world, we need to make sure students have the opportunity to keep their hands clean to stay healthy.

These handsoaps will be given out to students in need.

My greatest concern is absenteeism which we need to put forth great effort to stop. Cleanliness helps one stay healthy, healthy students come to school.

Please help us get our students back in class where they can learn.
