My Students

My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.

All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.

My Project

The Flint Water Crisis has impacted our community in more ways than one. One of the results is an increase in the number of young students who need extra help to learn and therefore begin school early in a special education preschool classroom. We have some of the most wonderful, playful, amazing students entering our classrooms and they all deserve the best start to their school career!

My preschool special education students, need backpacks and books to get them ready for school!

Preschool sized backpacks will be filled with books, making sure at least one of those new books is about their new adventure- preschool! These backpacks will be given to the children before the start their first day of school, so that every child, despite a parent's financial hardship, will have a backpack for school!
