This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My self-contained Life Skills class is made up of first through third-grade students with different disabilities who require an alternate approach when learning their sight words, writing, and math skills.
I have added a back-to-school book to review back-to-school rules and some math/reading manipulatives such as sight word flashcards and color-matching activities.
The variety of manipulatives will be able to assist the students in their upcoming school year to work on their math, reading, and writing skills in order to be successful in meeting their annual academic goals by providing more hands on practice to better meet their needs.
