Help me give my students fun, colorful and interactive tools that will enhance their education as they embark on the joy of learning in the First Grade.
I am a teacher of an ICT classroom in a low-income/high poverty, high-needs school district. I also have students with disabilities. Despite the many challenges my students face, they look forward to coming to school to learn in an environment where I provide creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students come in with a smile and are curious to know what the daily plans will entail. They are eager and excited to participate in our class community. My students do not let their limitations define them!
My Project
We are back with a bang! It has been a year of upheavals and once again our students have shown that they are resilient and ready to learn - no matter the obstacles! As we prepare to return to in-person learning help me provide a colorful, welcoming and organized environment for my ICT students. We will all be able to lift our spirts with fun and delightful nameplates, nametags and accents that will make our classroom outstanding, individualized and welcoming to my students.
Math is the focus of our school and the magnetic numbers and charts will provide introductory as well as continued practice for my young learners.
These tools will also give them an interactive and tactile platform to work individually, as well as in a small group setting. The standing Chart frame will also allow a mobile display and access for the anchor charts that they will need to use as they move towards to becoming independent learners
Sight word recognition is a foundational skill that can help propel our young learners into becoming young readers. These Sight Word Journals will again provide meaningful and individualized opportunities for our students to access these words. As they use these journals, they can also become confident and fluent readers. What an exciting tool for learning!
