Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a resource teacher who loves seeing my students connect with the content and feel safe and comfortable within the resource (special education) classroom. Many of the students struggle to stay focused or do not have opportunities to learn strategies to make themselves feel successful. To better help them regulate and focus themself during instruction, I am hoping to use the calm strips and stools to use instead of chairs. The reading guides will help them focus on the passages they are reading.
The hope in my classroom is to give them a safe space to work, tools to learn, and the opportunity to succeed.
I am asking for resources to give them the opportunity to connect with new material and grow as awesome kids with hope.
