Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
These first grade students have a love of learning. My school district is shifting towards a more student-centered, and student driven learning environment. My classroom consists of 21 first graders who come in every single morning excited about learning, and can’t wait to see what is in store for them that day. Of my 21 students, I have 6 English Language Learners in my classroom as well as 3 students who receive Special Education services.
Our classroom is a community where students respect each other, and the materials and resources in the classroom.
Many of my students mention that they do not have enough supplies and resources to continue their learning at home, so I want to ensure that I am giving my students the best, and most enriching experiences at school every single day. My students are so proud of their work, are extremely helpful to each other, and give 100% effort every single day.
My Project
This school year will be completely different from any other school year. Students will need individual supplies like crayons this year. They will also be spending a lot more time on a computer. Students will need headphones in to be able to concentrate on their work.
Crayons and headphones will be necessary for each student to have in order to start the school year.
My hope is to help families by being able to provide these items for their child. Myself and my students will appreciate any help. Thank you.
