My Students
My students from Inglewood, CA are enthusiastic about learning and have been adjusting SO well to ALL the changes happening this year. They are so candid and they are eager to become better readers and writers. Students have been virtual for the majority of the school year and we are currently transitioning into a hybrid model. Although my students have had a year full of changes, they are still so resilient and are willing to work, learn, and grow.
This year presents so many new challenges, and it is such a huge change for my little first graders, but they have been resilient amidst uncertainty and change.
I can't be more proud of them for what they have accomplished and cannot believe we are at the halfway mark! They truly inspire me to be a better person and teacher.
My Project
As a new First Grade teacher, I want to have an abundance of books to offer and read to my students. With this project, I have the chance to build my classroom library. I have specifically chosen these set of books to give my students the opportunity to experience and read meaningful and diverse books. Some of my students will come back to school for hybrid learning and it would be great to have a variety of books in the classroom for students to have access to.
With this set of books, I can begin to build and grow my library filled with meaningful and purposeful books for my First Graders.
