it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Students love to learn and we live in a very digital world. Unfortunately we are not a very digital classroom.
This is my 10th year as a kindergarten teacher at my school.
I teach 25 kindergarten students in a general education classroom at a low-income school in New York City.
They are a great group of kids who are extremely inquisitive and want to learn more. They try hard on a daily basis and want to do well educationally, emotionally and behaviorally. They celebrate their successes and know when they need extra support to help meet their needs.
My Project
Do you remember what it was like when you were in school? Do you remember what supplies you were required to have in class? The families in my classroom struggle to purchase most of the required materials needed for success in the classroom. This year is even more challenging. Students will be participating in both in school and virtual learning. This means double the supplies needed to make sure they are successful. I want to be able to supply each student with an individual supplies for at school and at home.

No school year is as important as Kindergarten! This is the year that will shape a child's attitude about school and about learning. Making it the most positive and nurturing experience is a way to ensure that these children will continue to love learning and strive to do their best in school. I have requested multiple boxes of glue sticks. They are used on a daily basis and are a vital part of our everyday learning. Even though this year will be different and challenging, my goal is to make sure my students have all the tools they need to make sure they are ready for an awesome and successful year!
