My Project

Ever get bored working with pencil and paper? Well, my students do. Working with different mediums, like dry erase markers, making posters, creating diagrams, or using sticky notes. Using the different resources here improves student involvement when solving problems, allows us to play games, and allows me to see their work clearly. Some of the supplies are also basic school needs from day 1.

By funding this project, you will provide students with markers and erasers to work on their own whiteboards.

Students will be able to compete against each other in math games, be able to show and explain their work to the class, and gives them a fun way to solve problems besides using paper and pencil. Students will learn how to work together by using these resources as part of team activities. This also allows me as their teacher to see their work from a distance and makes it clear how they are working and how well they are understanding the material. In addition, many students come to school without the normal supplies needed for school. This project will provide pencils, markers, erasers, and paper for those who do not have them. Having proper materials is the start to a successful education.

This project will allow me to continue these activities throughout the entire school year, thus helping the students grow and achieve and enjoy math longer! It also provides large paper to make posters and other projects that the students love to do. Thank you so much for helping my students enjoy mathematics!
