Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 30 fifth grade students in the inner-city. We serve a heavily Latino community. The majority of my students are English language learners.
My students are very motivated to learn, inquisitive and dedicated.
They rise to both academic and physical challenges. My students enjoy hands-on activities and challenging themselves to learn all they can. I want them to have a positive school experience. I want them to have the resources they need to thrive and be healthy, positive individuals.
My Project
The school year is getting ready to begin and my students will need some basic school supplies. With the start of the new year my students will need scissors to work on hands on assignments.
They will also need Kleenex Wet Wipes to keep their desks clean.
I am also asking for Quad Ruled Graph Paper Pad, Plastic Ruler 12 Inch, copy paper and Crayola Bulk Colored Pencils for mathematics activities. By helping us with our project, you will be giving my students mathematical supplies they will be using throughout the year.
