My Students

Students currently were working from home with sending home packets for school work. Seeing that the virus is not getting any better that means there is strong potential they may be working from home some in the upcoming school year. Students are remotely learning in their rural homes and via survey, the majority of the students do not have the internet at home.

My Project

Materials being requested are basic school supplies that every classroom uses each year - glue, tape, poster board, paper, note cards, foam brushes, etc. but this year may include distance and online learning. Materials requested will make a difference in my students' learning because there is a good chance that they do not have the general classroom items at home to work with and also do not have the internet capabilities to complete schoolwork digitally.

According to the federal government, teachers on average spend $500 or more on supplies and other classroom items each year that their students need to be successful, upwards of $1,000 or more even.
