Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first grade students come from a low-income/high-poverty neighborhood in the South Bronx and have not been afforded the opportunities that children in more well-to-do neighborhoods are given. One opportunity they often miss is back-to-school supply shopping.

Help me supply my students with quality supplies for their academic success.

The supply boxes will allow each student to have their own supplies stored at their table. Ticonderoga pencils are the best for writing, in my opinion, and sharpen well. Quality pencil sharpeners are a must, and so are scissors, glue, and colored pencils. The labels will be used for students' names.

These supplies will also keep my students from having to share supplies, lessening the spread of germs.
