My Students

My students are in kindergarten and are vibrant and full of life! My classroom is bilingual and with that comes a variety of cultures and new opportunities. They come from a low-economic area in Ohio. Even though there can be many challenges, my students are eager to come to school and learn in a safe environment.

My goal is to help my students grow their passion for learning.

I want them to feel confident in themselves and to persevere. Life skills are just as important to me as academics, and that is what I want to instill in my students.

My Project

This school year we will be returning to the classroom! Things are going to look and feel a little different in a kindergarten classroom. Materials and supplies are going to be more one-to-one as opposed to shared resources.

The materials and resources I have chosen will help make the transition to in-person learning more exciting and individualized.

During the pandemic, I spent countless hours putting together individual resource bags for each student to have and use. We were in a hybrid learning model and students needed many different materials one-to-one. Now that I have those materials covered, I wanted to find resources to use for in-person learning 5 days a week. We can no longer sit on the carpet together, so the mats will be used individually. The adhesive dots will be used as whiteboards at their tables. Many of the other materials I chose are for back to school essentials.

I know this year will again look different in the classroom, but I am ready for the challenge and would love your help and support! Thank you so much!
