Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This upcoming school year, I will be getting two brand new classes of hardworking students moving up from 4th grade. These students are diligent, motivated, and persevere through any challenges they face. My school is located in a neighborhood where all students receive free lunch. Families should not have to choose between the basic necessities or school supplies. As an agent of change, I want to provide my students with the materials needed to have a successful school year.
For my project, I am requesting basic supplies that will be used for the whole year to help my students succeed.
Materials such as pencils, pens, post-its, erasers and highlighters will be used for everyday learning. Lamination sheets and sheet protectors will be used to create materials to support student learning. Scissors, glue sticks, and color pencils will be used to incorporate more art into subjects like Math, Reading and Writing. Lastly, the whiteboard markers and erasers will be used in daily teaching to model different concepts for my students.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
