Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are full of positive energy and willing to try activities to learn math, science, social studies, and improve their English speaking and writing ability. Some students are English speakers from low-income families. Some are English learners who are learning how to use English effectively to understand what they read and hear. I am teaching every subject area in my 4th grade elementary classroom.
My students have a wonderful mindset and they have a safe space to learn.
They need supplies for back to school. I have inherited an outdated classroom. The posters are decades old. I am asking for posters about earth science, general science, math symbols, math words, presidents, writing, English literature themes, and the Pledge of Allegiance. A lot of posters will be anchor charts to help with specific topics during the year, such as angles and tectonic plates.
I am requesting supplies, including posters to illustrate the alphabet letters, cursive letters, math symbols and numbers, earth science, periodic table, writing, English words which must not get confused, white paper, notebooks, highlighters, pencils, pencil sharpeners, and colored paper to practice their skills to demonstrate learning. I am also requesting a heavy-duty stapler to place every anchor chart, poster, and visual aid on the classroomo wall for the students to reference.
I am also asking for a world map, a state map, U.S. Constitution books, the Pledge of Allegiance poster for the students to read and say each morning, and another poster with sign language for students who are dealing with hearing loss. The fourth grade students are learning about government and the branches. My classroom has outdated materials. These materials are needed for back to school.
I am requesting help to provide my students with basic back to school supplies needed for the new school year of 2025-2026.
