Back to School Necessities!

My students need basic back to school equipment and supplies to do classroom assignments throughout the school year. They need speakers, storage boxes, prizes, computer lock erasers, posters, and nameplates. They will need a blue tooth speaker to do their performance practices for the yearly arts show case.

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. It is the most diverse school I have ever worked at. Kids come from all over the city. Because it is so diverse, it is very special. Students learn to work together and to respect one another.

My students are eager learners.

They love to learn and are so enthusiastic. A good and fun start to the new year is very important for the students to set the tone of excitement. They make me want to come to work every day!

My Project

Students will need items to start the year off right. Desk name plates and all about me posters are important in beginning the school year. They create community and make students feel like the classroom is theirs.

These are basic supplies necessary for any classroom starting the year.

Students will need sharpeners, erasers, etc. to do all the basics. The students do a lot of independent, partner, and group work that require basic tools.

I'm also requesting a set of prizes to put on a weekly prize table. The prizes work as incentives to help motivate students in a fun way to do their best in their school work. Students love prizes and when they do above and beyond work in the class, they can earn them.

I will also need basic electronic equipment such as speakers for their performance practices and a laptop lock to keep electronics safe. Each year, students put on a performance piece for the school art showcase and having portable speakers will help me take students to the auditorium for their practices. Our school has also had a history of theft within the school building so having the laptop lock will help me keep the class laptop safe and secure. Students use the laptop to go on academic programs such as Raz-kids and IXL. But the laptop always needs to be put away in a locked safe, which is not easily accessible to students. Having the laptop lock will ensure that laptop is safe and can be readily accessible to students at all times.
