Back To School Is Just Around The Corner

My students need pens, pencils and composition books to be ready for 7th Grade Science and 6th Grade Science skills.

My Students

When school starts in September there will be many students that are unable to purchase the supplies they need for science class.

I teach science to a diverse group of high needs, urban, middle school students.

When we return to school in September and throughout the year, many students do not have the supplies they need to be successful. Pens, pencils and composition books are the items most needed by the students.

My Project

Students inability to purchase back to school supplies or restock their supply of pens and pencils throughout the year should not get in the way of learning. Pens, pencils and composition books are essential in the science classroom. The composition books will be used as a combination lab/activity and notebook. Notes and guided notes will be written in the composition book. Also, lab and activity data will be recorded in the composition book. We usually write with pen but, pencils are necessary when we graph. The science skills classes will save their composition books for subsequent years in the middle school.

Please help us to continue to be able to give our students the supplies they need.

With a stock of pens, pencils and composition books on hand, it will never be obvious that a student can't afford their own supplies.
