Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the pleasure of teaching TK next year and we always begin with fin activities to improve fine motor skills. My students are eager and ready to learn, but need a great deal of support in developing fine motor skills to become confident writers and artists. Often times my scholars come in lacking fine motor skills due to lack of support at home. Therefore, I spend a great deal of time developing their hand coordination and muscles to help them improve and feel confident in their skills. Students will LOVE learniing with such fun materials.

Scholars will use dry erase boards to practice writing skills and build their fine motor muscles through drawing self-portraits and learning to write the letters of the alphabet.

Playdough and hole punchers for fun activities that develop their hand muscles to improve their fine motor skills, while they have fun with various activites. My scholars will also love creating art projects and completing worksheets using dotters.
