Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our special needs classroom, having access to the appropriate resources and supplies is fundamental to the success and well-being of our students.

Many of my students come from low-income families and will only be able to bring in a limited amount of supplies.

The necessities like Kleenex tissue and snacks often can not be replenished throughout the year due to financial constraints.

The impact of these headphones and other supplies cannot be overstated. For example, children with sensory processing issues can greatly benefit from sensory toys, which can help them manage anxiety and improve focus in the classroom.

The call for additional funding to meet these needs is not a request for luxury, but rather a necessity for the provision of a comprehensive, inclusive education for all our students. Without these resources, we risk leaving our special needs students behind, denying them opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential.

Hence, this is a plea for understanding and support, an invitation to prioritize the needs of these wonderful students, who with the right tools, can undoubtedly excel. To invest in our classroom supplies is to invest in my students future.
