This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This fourth-grade class is full of incredible students from around the world. They bring rich experiences to our classroom from their countries of birth such as Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Iraq, India, Nicaragua, and Yemen. These students are members of a Title I urban school where all students qualify for the free breakfast and free lunch program.
They are eager and happy to learn, despite exhausting social, emotional, and environmental challenges.
Their courage, strength, and excitement for learning power them through each day. Although many of my students arrive at school hungry and tired, they still jump out of their seats and race to our growing classroom library to be the first to choose a book to explore. My students are sweet, inquisitive, caring, curious, empathetic, problem solvers. These children are truly remarkable young people. They deserve the best and more.
My Project
Please help my students start their year off successfully. These students have the drive to learn and want to do well in school. Due to forces beyond their control, many are unable to come to school with a full backpack of supplies. Your donation will provide these 4th graders with tools they will use daily including folders for their hard work and disinfecting wipes, tissues, gloves, and wet-naps to help maintain a healthy learning environment,
Your generosity will help them feel confident in their studies and in being a 4th grade student.
In addition to folders and cleaning supplies, your donation will bring cardstock for art projects, pens for publishing writing, and quad ruled paper for math work. Thank you so much for caring about these special students. Because of you, they will be able to grow to their full potential.
