This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am so excited to get to teach my wonderful new first graders live, in-person, again! I can’t wait to meet my students and interact with a room full of energetic, curious, kind, playful, bright, and excited learners!
My Advanced Studies class Iearns at a rigorous academic pace, with above grade level demands and through integrating technology and the arts across the curriculum.
I want to make sure they have new, clean and individual supplies to help them get started safely and successfully.
My Project
With in-person school returning, our classroom is in need of some basic supplies. Taking COVID Safety into consideration, we want to make sure students have their own individual supplies. Writing journals cut down on copies and loose papers. It’s a great way to collect all student work and see progress. Last year, all my extra glue sticks, crayons, and scissors were sent home to students learning online. Privacy boards prevent students from having to move to different seats during testing, and the magnetic calendar and wipe-down writing boards also reduce waste and are easy to clean. Thank you for helping my students start the school year off right with supplies to support their learning!
