Help me give my students a binder that zips so they have the opportunity to use it as a backpack to keep materials organized and their Chromebook safe as they travel between school and home.
Our school is a newcomer program that provides a warm welcome to students in middle and high school who are new to the country. Our students are 100% SLIFE, which means they have limited or interrupted formal education. The students and their families are learning to live in a new country and find a way to support their everyday lives.
In an unprecedented time of education, with remote learning and in-person learning, technology has come to the forefront, and students each have their own Chromebook to be responsible for.
My Project
A past DonorsChoose project provided our students with zippered binders to house all of their materials and carry to and from school like a backpack. It was a huge success! Materials were organized and there were very few issues with Chromebooks falling and breaking.
By purchasing these new binders, it will allow us to provide new ones to some of the new immigrants, refugees, and asylees that will be starting the new school year with us.
