Our school's mission is to ensure learning at a high level for all students and our students try their best in everything that they do. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and geographic areas creating a melting pot of different cultures. Along with a variety of backgrounds they have a variety of needs.
Regardless of their backgrounds and needs the students in my class continually make an effort to improve in all that they do.
My Project
We are heading into a an exciting new school year returning back to in person learning. There is still a looming uncertainty of what that will look like. Having some extra supplies will set us up for success whether we are learning from the classroom or back at home. Students will be issued Chromebooks. The small trackpad on their Chromebook makes it difficult for students to show their work. A class set of wired computer mice will allow my students to be able to share their thinking digitally. Dry erase circles will allow them to share their ideas during lessons.Having headphones in the classroom for use eases the stress of making sure their headphones are at home in the event we have to return to blended learning in which they will need headphones at home and in the classroom. Since we will be spaced out in the classroom while wearing masks all day it will be hard to hear. Having a voice amplifier will help project our voices so that we do not need to yell.
We will continue to use technology to support and enhance our learning.
Having a projector to project Virtual Field Trips for all students to see and speakers for all students to hear the presentation will help to make these field trips a success for all students. Having a stand up desk will allow for more space to socially distance within the classroom. Providing students with various recess equipment, such as kickballs, gives students a much needed break throughout the day.
