My students need fans to keep cool, paper to do work, and soap and brooms to stay clean - it's all pretty basic!

My Students
I'm very excited to start a new year and meet my new scientists! Students here come from all around Philadelphia and will walk into my class expecting and deserving a high quality education. I've already met a few of the regulars - three young men are constantly in the school helping out wherever they can - they clearly take pride in their school. I'm so looking forward to working for the students of Philadelphia for my 7th year as a science educator!
My Project
I get cranky in the heat - it's harder to focus and easier to get distracted. That's why I'm asking to you to help provide my kids with some basic comforts that can set them up for success.
With fans, a broom, some paper, some soap we will be able to get started on this school year with our basic needs met and leave the path clear to make some extraordinary leaps in science proficiency!
Students will benefit from floor fans, a broom, soap, and hand sanitizer because it will allow to be able to work and grow in a safe and clean classroom. If students basic needs are met (safe and clean) then we can begin the hard work of growing our young scientists! I like to emphasize student work and the large poster paper gives students the chance to showcase their learning and ideas as well as present to other students. The presentations then become the learning material on the walls so students are surrounded by their own work to build content knowledge and confidence.
Thanks so much for making a difference in my classroom!
