Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are starting their educational journey in Kindergarten, many of whom have not attended preschool and are just beginning to learn their alphabet and numbers. Our classroom is a vibrant mix of students from diverse backgrounds, including many English Language Learners, newcomers, neurodiverse students, and students with special needs. Each of my students has a range of abilities and learn in many different, unique ways. They are more focused and excited about learning if the activities and materials are highly engaging. They are particularly engaged in interactive activities that are colorful and hands-on.

In special education, providing students with visually appealing materials is essential.

Our Special Education resource room serves early elementary students who could use a restock of basic classroom materials. Toner for our printer, paper for printing learning materials and visual supports, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase “teacher-made” materials for learning. Please help me restock our basic classroom supplies so that our learning and growing students can continue to participate in academic tasks with their peers and develop more independence with their skills. Investing in learning materials isn't just about the immediate benefits—it's an investment in the future. The skills and knowledge gained through access to quality resources can have a lasting impact on students' academic success and future opportunities.
