This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On the first few days of school, the tone is set for the year. This year, we would like our students to feel fully supported, especially in terms of their mental health.

To ensure they are confident, we want to give them access to backpacks so they can be confident coming to school every day and knowing they are part of a supportive and inclusive community.

Mental health is very important, and when a student does not have access to a backpack it can be a huge deterrent to them feeling like they belong. We want to alleviate that concern, and fully support them.
