This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a Title I school with many students who were impacted by going virtual. For many of these students, school is a main source of food. Snacks in the classroom help me to ensure that their tummies are full and they are able to focus on learning. These days, back to school shopping is harder than ever with inflation. Providing basics helps all students have an equal chance and never be left without an essential classroom supply. Items, such as pencils, are a necessity and we go through so many every year.
