Help me give my students a foil fringe curtain, chalkboard bright stars accents, welcome back banner, and other items that I can use to help display our art projects and decorate our classroom with.

My Project

My students are so lucky to be able to begin their first year in kindergarten this coming fall! We cannot wait to be back in the building learning about school rules, routines, friends, and academics.

To make our classroom a warm, inviting space, we need a welcome door sign and star cut outs to display our name on!

I also need to furnish walls by using double sided tape because staples are not allowed in the room. The banners will be hung on the wall as well as the welcome to kindergarten sign for them to take pictures with at their meet the teacher night.

I am excited to refresh our learning space and make it fun for everyone to spend their time in their first year in school by having number dots on the floor for students to line up in.

The calendar will be hung on the board for parents and students to see upcoming events for the whole month as well as posting our art lessons to focus on a project each month around the holiday of the month.

The teacher planner will be where I keep grades and remember upcoming dates needed to do lessons.

Velcro pieces will allow me to Velcro their names to their laptop since stickers don't work great as well as velcroing the name tag on the bulletin board. I will use the tacks to display all the art students make each month such as apples for September, pumpkins for October, turkeys for November. We love making art projects in our room following directed drawings with crayons, pencils and markers outlining the shape with a sharpie. We also like to have fun and make our own art designs in kindergarten!
