My Students

My students, like so many others, finished the 2020 school year working from home. They showed great perseverance and resourcefulness during this challenging time. My team and I created weekly videos, held Zoom meetings, and created online discussions to keep learning both engaging and exciting for our students.

Our students are excited, creative, and fully engaged in the learning process.

They want to grow and learn more about the world around them. The students come from a variety of backgrounds and home environments but they are always striving to reach their full potential as future community leaders. They have not allowed eLearning and being away from the classroom to stop their amazing progress.

My Project

This project will allow me to create an inviting learning environment at home, at school, or in some combination of both for the 2020-2021 school year.

These materials will be used throughout the school year in various ways.

For example, the file folders will become superhero projects where my students not only create their own superheroes but create and relate powers relating to physical science. My students love being able to show just how much about light, waves, energy flow, and so much more. The tripod will not only be used to help bring lessons to life for students at home if we do not return to school immediately during the 2020-2021 school year but also allow students to record their presentations throughout the year to share with their families. The tape not only allows me to brighten up and add color to our classroom but becomes detailed historical timelines and the foundation of many STEM projects throughout the year. All of these items will be used in ways to not only brighten our classroom but provide happiness and excitement for my incoming students.
