Help me give my students a variety of books that can be used to reinforce the reading skills taught each week. These books will help with getting my students interested and excited to read!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember your last year in elementary school? My students are entering fifth grade and I get to be the teacher that prepares them for middle school. I have two classes of twenty-five students in each. These students will come from different backgrounds with different learning styles. They will range from low performing, average, above average and gifted students.
"Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best they can possibly be" Rita Pierson.
Year after year I am lucky enough to have energetic, creative, and enthusiastic students who share the love for reading, writing, and technology as I do.
My Project
These books will be used to reinforce the reading skill of the week. In addition to what is written in a textbook, I find that teaching reading through actual literature/books really makes a difference. I plan on reading the books with my students during class time and using the text to build on reading foundations. For example, after teaching a unit on mythology, I will use the books as part of a small group activity where the students will read the books and discuss the different elements that make that book a myth.
Interesting books and stories can motivate a student to perform to their fullest potential.
Reading is so crucial, and having a variety of books can ensure that I share the interest of multiple/all students.
