This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have been moved from teaching 8th grade math (past 11 yrs.) to 6th grade intervention math. I am excited about this school year, but due to the pandemic my students are way behind. I have students that cannot write, others that don't speak English, as well as lack of basic computational skills. I will be able to print resources instantly in my room and allow the students to respond with the whiteboards with this funded request. I am trying to focus on getting them close to grade level, along with preparing them for upper grades as well. I want this year to be the one year of many that they start showing success in math.
