My Project
It is time to go back to the basics. I need some supplies to help my first graders have what they need to complete the year. We have run out of many supplies that are used daily in our classroom. Wet wipes and paper towels are used to clean sticky desks and fingers. Elementary students have many spills and food-splattered faces after enjoying snacks and eating lunch. These supplies will be made readily available in our classroom and used when needed.
Basic supplies are needed on an everyday basis in our first grade classroom.
Sentence strips are used in writing lessons. The teacher is able to point out capital letters and punctuation. Punch cards are used to keep track of AR (accelerated reading) tests. It is a great motivational tool to encourage students to read. Play-Doh has dried out and needs to be replaced. The squishy balls are used in stressful situations especially right before testing. This year has brought on many colds, runny noses, coughing, and sneezing. We are completely out of Kleenex. Packing tape will be used to tape down items needed and repair books within our classroom library.
