This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am preparing to teach Reading in a 7th-grade classroom at a Middle School in Dallas. I recently moved to Texas from California, so I'm starting at square one with furnishing my classroom. I need classroom supplies to help keep my students engaged in learning. The majority of my students are second language learners and I am teaching at a Title 1 school. I want to provide the best learning environment possible because my students deserve it!

My Project

I am getting back to the basics of setting up my classroom! After relocating to Texas, I need all of the basic school supplies for the classroom. I will have 150 seventh grade students and that means A LOT of paper!

I want my students to be able to annotate and study the texts we read in class.

We will use classroom timers and whiteboard markers for daily activities. I also want to provide pencils and lined paper for my students who can't afford their own supplies.

All of these items will make a big impact on their learning environment.
