Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would like to set my students up for success from Day 1. Beginning with the basics (of school supplies), I am requesting pencils, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, glue sticks, and pencil boxes to store and organize them in. I am also requesting notebooks and notebook paper so students have everything they need to take notes, complete assignments, and more.

Basic school supplies are the tools of success.

If each child has the materials they need, they can focus on their learning, and not have to worry about finding a pencil or paper, or whatever else they need.

This past year was a struggle getting students to bring in the supplies they needed for class. I want to have everything the students need for class right at their desks, so we can maximize learning time, and not have to go to lockers for supplies, or ask a classmate if they can borrow an item in order to complete work or participate in an activity.
