My Project
The beginning of the school year is such an exciting time for my kindergarten students. For many, this is their very first classroom experience. They arrive eager to explore, ready to learn, and full of curiosity. To help them start strong, we need to set up our classroom with the basic tools that support hands-on learning, creativity, and early skill development.
As a teacher in a Title I school, I work with amazing students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom are English Language Learners or new to structured schooling.
A fresh set of supplies—like crayons, glue sticks, pencils, dry erase markers, and folders—is essential to create an environment where every child can engage in developmentally appropriate learning activities from the very beginning.
These materials help students build fine motor skills, express themselves through writing and art, and practice early literacy and math in fun, meaningful ways. Having these resources in place at the start of the year sets the tone for a classroom that is organized, welcoming, and ready for exploration.
