Back to Basics: Starting From the Bottom

Help me give my students daily necessities, including E-readers for students with reading difficulties (in-class use), a rug to limit noise in our old building, bookshelves/books for our class library, basics including glue, pencils, crayons etc. some comfort/flex seating.

My Students

These second graders do the best they can with what they have. They are kind, caring and ready to change the world. Unfortunately, many of these young students have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources leaving most learning to the classroom where these children are also at a disadvantage compared to their suburban counterparts. The classroom is their home away from home where they can be safe and grow their young minds. My students have young inquisitive minds. They have a huge will and want to learn. Please help provide necessities and reosurces so these students can prove themselves to the rest of the world how great they can be with the proper tools. We are looking into daily schools supplies, seating, games, books, and a little bit of technology to share in the classroom.

My Project

Second graders whom will be using these items have little to no resources at home. It is crucial that they have them in school. Without the basics, they will be set up for failure. Could you imagine writing with no pencils, reading with no books. They face challenges of many including attention and reading delays. E-readers, even a couple, will help students by utilizing multiple senses. Rugs will counter noise in our old building. Several STEM items included to provide a hands-on and visual learning experience will keep students engaged and eager to learn. Please help provide these students with every opportunity they and all students deserve.
