Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th grade students are always ready to take on fresh information and learn something new. Most of them are English Language Learners. My favorite part of having students new to the country is how willing they are to learn by always asking questions, wanting to know the world around them in a new language.

In my class, we are always ready learn in a fun and innovating way while practicing skills in an environment that requires us to get our "creative juices" flowing.

My Project

When it comes to Interactive Notebooks, scissors and colored pencils are a must! I would have to say that putting together our notebooks is the part of reading & language arts the kids look forward to the most. There is nothing like making something your own.

With colored pencils, the students can draw, underline, and make graphs to better them help them organize their writing.

Having these materials readily available during the school year will make a big difference. They no longer have the back to school feeling of new materials, and I would like them to have these very needed materials to keep their motivation going until the end of thee year.
