My Students

We have started a brand new school in Cleveland that is centered on the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Our students come from all over Cleveland and represent a dynamic mix of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. The students, however, have one characteristic that truly stands out: their love and eagerness for learning.

My students are determined and dedicated learners that need your assistance to be able to complete the many projects that IB mandates.

As one of the few complete music programs in our city, it is imperative that my students have the resources they need to be successful musicians and music consumers for life!

My Project

With the Coronavirus, I will need to plan ahead for my students return this fall. I am asking for these materials to help keep the band room safe according to the latest research studies on wind band performance. The materials I have requested will allow my students to continue to learn and not worry about COVID-19.

I am requesting a UV Disinfectant Cabinet for mouthpieces and instruments parts, masks that my brass players can cut small holes in to fit the base of their mouthpieces through, face shields for my flute players, gloves for my percussionists when they must use school drum sticks or mallets, and puppy pads to collect condensation from brass spit valves in.

All of these are suggested by research to keep the band room safe and running!
