The students in my kindergarten class are as inquisitive as they are unique. Coming from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and individualized needs, my students are excited explorers and avid learners.
In kindergarten, we know that everyone has a different set of strengths, experiences, and needs that they bring to the table, both academically and personally.
We strive together to make growing, learning, and developing a tremendous experience for ourselves and for our peers. In order to ensure that each student thrives, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, problem solving techniques, and diverse materials.
My Project
In March, my school district is planning to have kindergartners learning in person. For some of my students, this will be the first time in many months they've been in a school setting. For others, it will be their very first experience with classroom learning.
My students need flexible, comfortable learning options that allow them to learn in whatever position is best for them.
Instead of sitting in rigid desks all day, our classroom will have marked areas for each student to work. They will choose whether they'd like to sit, stand, kneel, or lay down as they learn and explore in person for the very first time this year.
The wooden lap desks are not only well-reviewed and durable, but the wooden surface is easily disinfected and the perfect size for these little learners.
With your help and support, kindergarten will be learning and growing at flexible, comfortable lap desks!
