Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students because each of them brings something uniquely valuable to our classroom. Their energy, curiosity, and potential inspire me every day. I see not just who they are, but who they’re becoming. Helping them grow—academically, socially, and emotionally—is the most rewarding part of my work.
That’s why I’m introducing a first-day-of-school photo booth.
It’s more than just a fun activity—it’s a confidence booster. When students walk in and see a space decorated just for them, where they can take a proud “Day 1” photo, they feel seen, valued, and important. That moment of celebration sets a positive tone. It tells them: This is your place. You belong here. We believe in you.
When students feel confident and motivated from day one, they’re more likely to engage fully in their learning. The photo booth helps anchor that mindset. It creates a memory that connects emotion to the start of their academic journey—a powerful tool for long-term motivation and performance.
In short: I love my students, and I believe in helping them start strong, feel proud, and aim high—all with a simple, joyful snapshot.
